Ryu Haybusa is a playable character in the Dead or Alive game series and principal character in the Ninja Gaiden series, both  from Team Ninja and Tecmo.  Ryu is a ninja, leader of the Hayabusa clan and heir to the Dragon lineage.  Ryu first appearance was in the  "Ninja Gaiden" arcade game in 1988.
